Settings

Configure your tenant's behavior, including device status thresholds, email notifications, and subscription usage.

Subscription & Usage

The top card shows your current device usage:

  • Device count - How many devices are enrolled versus your plan limit
  • Usage percentage - Visual progress bar showing utilization
  • Plan information - Whether you're on a free trial or paid plan

The progress bar turns amber at 75% and red at 90% utilization. If you reach your limit, contact support to increase capacity.

Device Status Thresholds

StatusTrigger
OnlineHeartbeat within the last 7 minutes
AwayHeartbeat between 7 and 30 minutes ago
OfflineHeartbeat between 30 minutes and the dormant threshold
DormantNo heartbeat for longer than the dormant threshold

Dormant Threshold

Set the number of days without a heartbeat before a device is marked as Dormant. This helps identify devices that may have been decommissioned, lost, or powered off for extended periods.

  • Range: 1–365 days
  • Default: 30 days

Email Notifications

Configure who receives email notifications and which types are enabled.

Notification Recipients

Enter the email addresses that should receive notifications. You can enter one per line, or separate them with commas.

Notification Types

Toggle each notification type on or off:

NotificationDescription
App updatesSent when application versions are updated in the catalog
Enrollment tokensSent when enrollment tokens are created or deleted
GroupsSent when groups are created, updated, or deleted
Users & permissionsSent when users are invited or permissions changed
Device usage warningsSent when device usage reaches 80%, 90%, or 95% of your limit

Company Branding

The name and logo your end users see when Pckgr installs or removes an app on their device, and in the Self-Service Portal.

Organization Name

Enter the name end users should see, for example "Contoso IT". It appears on the install prompt shown before an app is installed, updated, or removed, including the deferral and close-apps dialogs, as the attribution on Windows toast notifications, and in the Self-Service Portal header unless you set a separate portal header name.

  • Maximum length: 64 characters
  • If left blank: end users see the generic "IT Department" label
  • Platform: Windows devices only

Keep the name short. It renders on one line next to the action, as in "Contoso IT - App Installation", so a long legal entity name will crowd the dialog.

Company Logo

One logo, used in two places: it replaces the icon on the install, deferral and close-apps prompts, next to your Organization Name, and it appears in the Self-Service Portal header. The upload is saved straight away.

  • Format: PNG only; a square image works best
  • Maximum size: 512 KB
  • If left empty: end users see the icon inside each app package
  • Platform: Windows devices only

Logos must be PNG because install prompts cannot show SVG. A JPEG or SVG logo uploaded before this rule keeps showing in the Self-Service Portal but not on install prompts; upload a PNG to put it on both.

Already Branding PSADT from Intune?

Devices branded through a PSAppDeployToolkit Group Policy (such as the ADMX profile and branding script used with Intune Pckgr) keep that branding until you set a name or logo here, which then takes priority on Pckgr deployments. If a branding policy names a logo file that isn't on the device yet, the agent puts an image at that path before the install starts, so interactive installs aren't blocked. Files already in place are never overwritten.

When Changes Take Effect

The agent applies the name and logo at deploy time, so a device picks it up on its next deployment rather than the moment you save. There is no policy sync to wait for and no restart. Install prompt branding requires a device running the latest agent.

Deployment Notifications

Show Deployment Toasts

Toggles the Windows toast notifications shown when an app is installed, updated, or removed. Individual apps can override this default. Turning toasts off does not affect install prompt branding, which Company Branding controls.

Device Naming

Automatically rename newly enrolled devices using a template. When enabled, the agent renames the Windows machine to match the assigned name.

Setting Up Device Naming

  1. Toggle Enable Device Naming on.
  2. Enter a naming template (e.g., ACME-{Counter:4}).
  3. Click Preview to see the next generated name.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Template Format

The template is a prefix followed by {Counter:N}, where N is the number of zero-padded digits.

Template1st Device2nd Device3rd Device
PC-{Counter:4}PC-0001PC-0002PC-0003
ACME-{Counter:3}ACME-001ACME-002ACME-003
W-{Counter:5}W-00001W-00002W-00003

Generated names must be 15 characters or fewer (Windows NetBIOS limit). The preview will warn you if your template produces names that are too long.

Counter

The counter automatically increments with each enrollment. You can adjust the Next Counter Value to skip numbers or reset after a bulk re-enrollment.

Skipping the Rename for Specific Devices

If you need to enroll a device without renaming it (e.g., a server, kiosk, or a machine that already has the correct name), you can skip the rename at install time. Check Skip automatic device renaming in the interactive installer, pass SKIP_RENAME=1 for silent installs, or use --skip-rename with the CLI. See Skipping Device Rename in the agent installation guide for full details.

The rename requires a restart to take effect. The agent does not automatically reboot the device. See Managing Devices for rename status details and troubleshooting.

Saving Changes

After making changes, an "You have unsaved changes" message appears. Click Save Changes to apply.

Tenants

Go to Settings > Tenants to manage tenants in your account.

Creating a Tenant

  1. Enter a name for the new tenant.
  2. Optionally set a dormant threshold (defaults to 30 days).
  3. Click Create tenant.

Editing a Tenant

Update a tenant's name or dormant threshold directly in the table, then click Save.

Tenants provide isolated environments within your account. Each tenant has its own devices, apps, groups, and settings. Users can be granted different access levels per tenant.
