Apps
The Apps page manages the applications available for deployment in your environment. Apps are added from a pre-built catalog - you select the software and version, and Pckgr handles packaging and deployment.
Adding an App
- Go to Apps in the sidebar and click Add App.
- The catalog dialog opens, showing all available packages.
- Search for the app you want by name, publisher, or description.
- Select a package from the list on the left.
- Choose a version from the panel on the right. The latest version is selected by default. Click "Show previous versions" to see older releases.
- Click Add App.
If a version is already in your environment, it shows an "Added" badge and cannot be selected again.
Choosing the latest version adds the app with Auto Update on, so new catalog releases deploy automatically. Choosing an older version adds it with auto-update off, so the app stays on the version you picked. The dialog tells you which you are getting before you add the app, and the toggle lives in the Details panel on the app detail page.
Viewing Apps
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Application name |
| Publisher | Software publisher |
| Version | Package version |
| Context | Installation context - System or User |

Use the search bar to filter by name or publisher. Click column headers to sort.
App Details
Click any app row to open its detail page, which includes:
Deployment Settings
Configuration options that control how the app is deployed:
- Deploy Mode - Silent, NonInteractive, Quiet, or Normal
- Defer Type - Whether users can defer the installation
- Deferral Times - How many times a user can postpone
- App Close Behavior - How running applications are handled during install
- Restart Behavior - Whether to prompt for a restart after install
Statistics
Deployment success rate shown as a pie chart, with statistics broken down by intent (Install, Uninstall, Update) and job counts by status.
Assignments
Lists all groups this app is assigned to, with the intent for each. Create new assignments, change intent, or remove assignments directly from here.
Dependencies
View and manage app dependencies - prerequisite apps that must install first. Add or remove dependencies and see which apps depend on this one.
Rollback
If you need to revert to a previous version:
- Click the rollback option on the app detail page.
- Select the target version.
- Review the rollback impact preview.
- Confirm the rollback.
Pckgr creates new deployment jobs to roll affected devices back to the selected version.
A rollback also turns Auto Update off, so the next catalog release does not move the app forward again. The impact preview says so before you confirm, and you can turn auto-update back on from the Details panel whenever you are ready.
Deleting an App
Click the trash icon on an app row and confirm. If the app has assignments, you'll see a warning showing how many assignments will also be removed.
Bulk Operations
Select multiple apps using the checkboxes, then use the action bar:
- Assign to group - Assign all selected apps to a group with a specified intent (Install or Uninstall)
- Delete - Remove all selected apps (apps with dependents will be skipped)
