Getting Started
Set up your Pckgr account, enroll your first device, and deploy an app in minutes.
Creating an Account
- Go to the Pckgr portal and click Sign up.
- Enter your email, display name, company name, and a password.
- If your organization uses Microsoft SSO, you can also click Sign in with Microsoft to create your account.
- After registration, you'll be taken to the dashboard.
Your account is automatically set up with a default tenant and a free-tier device allocation.
Signing In
- Go to the Pckgr portal and enter your email and password.
- If your account has two-factor authentication enabled, you'll receive a 6-digit code by email. Enter it on the verification screen.
- If SSO is configured, you can click Sign in with Microsoft instead.
If your session expires, you'll be redirected to the sign-in page. After signing in, you'll return to the page you were on.
Accepting an Invite
If a team member invites you to their Pckgr account:
- Check your email for the invitation link.
- Click the link to open the invite acceptance page.
- Set your display name and password.
- You'll be signed in with access to the tenants your invite specifies.
Your First Deployment
Follow these steps to deploy an application to a device:

Create an Enrollment Token
- Go to Settings > Agent Setup in the sidebar.
- Click New Token.
- Set the expiration (default: 7 days) and maximum uses (default: 100).
- Click Create Token and copy the token value.

Install the Agent
On the Windows device you want to manage, open a command prompt as Administrator and run:
msiexec /i pckgr-agent.msi /qn ENROLLMENT_TOKEN="<your-token>"
The agent installs as a Windows service and enrolls the device automatically. Within a minute, the device should appear on the Devices page.

Add an App
- Go to Apps in the sidebar.
- Click Add App.
- Search the catalog for the application you want (e.g., "Google Chrome").
- Select the package, choose a version, and click Add App.

Create a Group
- Go to Groups in the sidebar.
- Click Create Group and enter a name (e.g., "Pilot Devices").
- Open the group and add your device to it.

Create an Assignment
- Go to Assignments in the sidebar.
- Click Create Assignment.
- Select your group, select your app, and set the intent to Install.
- Click Create.

Monitor the Deployment
- Go to Deployments in the sidebar.
- You'll see a job created for your device. The status will progress from Pending to InProgress to Succeeded.
- If a job fails, click on it to view logs and troubleshoot.
